A place for helpers and healers to rest their weary souls
The Refuge House began as a dream. In 2007, Cristin dreamt of a barn, a place of shelter, simple and unfussy, protecting against the harshness this world can bring. Inside, people lamented, grieved and doubted, and when ready, celebrated. The Refuge House takes you in stride, here you can come as you are
A place to fall back on.
Nestled in the Glendora mountains, The Refuge House offers a chance to take provision, like Elijah underneath the broom tree (1 Kings 19:4-8), knowing you are held steadfastly in God’s arms, and when it is time, to leave renewed in your calling. If you choose to lounge in the shade of the apple tree, walk along the kitchen garden or soak in the hot tub amongst the rows of yarrow and lavender, you can. This is your time to release, rest, and restore.
Our gate is always open.
